Promises

Every time I see you
I have the same words to say
To tell you that I love you more
Each and every day
That every word I say to you
Is a heart-felt promise
That I'll be yours
Until my dieing day
And when I say this
I hold you oh-so-tight
Wishing I could never let go
To be with you through every night
Forever and Always
No Matter What
That's my promise to you
To spend my life loving you
As long as you want me to

Reality

Staring out into
The darkest part of night
With no hand to hold
Nor, "It'll be alright."
A breeze caresses my cheek.
Not a star crosses my eye.
Only your eyes
Can illuminate mine.
I reach out to touch you,
But it's like you're not there.
I see you in front of me,
But you're only air.
I'm living in a dream come true;
Where the only one I want is you.
Help me realize that this is reality;
That you are really here
Loving me.

This I Vow

My heart was broken in two
Until the day I found you.
I dreamed of you
All those years ago,
And now that I have you,
I'll never let go.
Our love is forever in circle.
There is no end;
No time.
So, my heart I give to you,
And I hope you give me thine.

In This Box

So distant, this love of mine.
Buried in the shadows.
Fleeing from the glares of loathing
On the faces of every day's saints.
You, my dear, my blood and tears,
Caught my evanescent heart,
And with one word, my world was yours,
That which you set alight.
This type of love, in times of war,
Can drive a man insane.
Not me, not I, for I know why
Your love is all I desire.
Everything I'd sacrifice
To spend one day with you.
If we are not meant to be,
Then my life is through.
I have a gift,
A gift for you,
The only one my love for is true.

Hidden in this box of mine
Is my aching heart.
Take it, I plead,
And preserve it for all eternity,
That little piece of me,
And I'll be yours,
And only yours,
However long that may be.

Sleeping Beauty

Your fingers trace her pale-white skin;
Every precious, little inch.
Silently sleeping next to you,
She doesn't stir or flinch.
You brush a lock of strawberry hair
Off her peaceful, sleeping face.
Bodies entwined in the pale moonlight;
There is no better place.
You can't help but stare,
Love in your eyes.
All the feelings you have for her,
For them there's no disguise.
